Lehighton has approved a new lease for PathStone inside the borough’s Annex building.
On a unanimous measure, borough council on Monday agreed to a five-year lease for PathStone.
Councilman Ryan Saunders said he preferred moving forward with the five-year lease.
Borough recreation director Tom Evans noted that the new cost will be $220,000 per year, which represents an increase of about $12,000 for the first year.
There will then be a 2.5% increase every year thereafter as part of the agreement.
The entire building would be leased to PathStone, a private, not-for-profit company.
