NL Rec Authority to present Wednesday UnWind

Stressed out and feeling the need to uncoil?

Perhaps there’s no better way to decompress than to attend Wednesday UnWind at the Delaware & Lehigh’s Slatington Trailhead.

The new event will be held from 6-8 p.m. according to Lindsay Taylor, Executive Director, Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority.

“Come to the Trailhead to listen to some great music and taste some of the wonderful wines that the Lehigh Valley has to offer,” Taylor said.

Taylor said the event is free to the public, though there is a small fee for the wine tasting that is waived if a bottle of wine is purchased.

Physical distancing and masks are required.

Scheduled participants include Kendal Conrad & Sleepy Cat Urban Winery July 15; Eliza Rush & Blue Mountain Vineyards July 29; and Tim Harakal & Palmerton Tasting Room Aug. 12.

Taylor noted that Wednesday UnWind is part of a variety of programs and events the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority has been working on.

The mission of the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority is to provide a diverse range of educational and recreational programs and activities that promote a strong sense of community.

The organization was created in 2015 and operates as a publicly funded, collaborative partnership between the boroughs of Slatington and Walnutport, Washington Township, the Community Center Committee and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
