Carbon County commissioners
The Carbon County Commissioners, on Thursday, acted on the following items:
• Approved an agreement with Lake Harmony Turismo LLC of Albrightsville to provide transportation to participants of the treatment courts for one year, beginning March 1 through Feb. 28, 2021. The total cost is $60 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. A grant request was submitted to the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts to offset the cost of the services.
• Approved contracts for Community Development Block Grant projects. Franzosa Trucking Co. Inc. of Hazleton bid $62,358.50 for improvements to Tamaqua Street and Goose Alley in Beaver Meadows. Barker and Barker Paving Excavating of Bethlehem bid $66,460 to reconstruct North Mauch Chunk Road in Palmerton. APM Constructions Inc. of Lansford bid $105,650 for a building project and Stoney Lonesome Excavating of Summit Hill bid $89,393 for site work, both for the Ginder Field Rehabilitation Project in Summit Hill. Barletta Materials and Construction Inc. of Tamaqua bid $104,822.50 for grading and swale system improvements of Bridge Street in East Side Borough.
• Approved an allocation letter from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for the fiscal year 2018-19 MATP program for LANTA listing the final allocation as $655,661.
• Ratified service that was provided by Mechanical Service Company of Pittston for repairs that were needed after an annual generator inspection at the courthouse, administrative building, 76 Susquehanna St. and Penn Forest buildings. The total cost is $3,575 plus shipping.

• Retirement: Susan S. Bolton of Jim Thorpe, domestic relations specialist II, effective April 13; and Debra K. Hoherchak of Jim Thorpe, second deputy, prothonotary, effective April 24.
• Changes of status, district attorney’s office: Renee L. Russell of Weatherly, from legal secretary I to office administrator; Jillian Berger of Jim Thorpe, from clerical specialist to legal secretary I; and Sarah N. Reeser of Bowmanstown, from part-time legal secretary to clerical specialist, all effective April 6.
