Drivers cited in Schuylkill crashes

Drivers involved in two, crashes, along Schuylkill County roads have been cited.

A crash was reported at 1:29 a.m. on Sunday along Burma Road in Ryan Township. Troopers said Matthew J. Gibbs-Buss, 23, of Coaldale, was driving a 1998 Jeep Cherokee northbound and negotiating a left turn when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a dirt embankment. The Jeep overturned and came to final rest on the passenger side.

Troopers said Gibbs-Buss was not at the scene when the crash was discovered. Charges are pending.

A crash was reported on March 4 at 4:29 p.m. along Little Mountain Road in Union Township. Troopers said Karla J. Woods, 41, of Ringtown, was driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue southbound and negotiating a left hand curve. Woods was traveling too fast and ran over some gravel on the side of the road. She lost control of the Nissan which went onto the berm and up an embankment. The vehicle continued up the embankment, making contact with a tree stump. The Nissan then rotated about 90 degrees against the stump and came to rest facing southwest.

Woods was not injured. The vehicle had to be towed. Charges are pending.
