KME collecting for Toys for Tots

KME Fire Apparatus announces that its Nesquehoning facility will again sponsor the annual Toys for Tots drive in honor of the upcoming holidays.

Toys for Tots is an annual program conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to collect toys for needy children.

KME will accept donations of new, unwrapped toys in drop-off boxes until Dec. 11, when KME employees, along with Santa Claus, will deliver the toys in a holiday-themed fire truck to the drop off location at Salem Bible Fellowship Church in Lehighton.

“We are excited to host the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots charity drive to help bring holiday cheer to the children of our area,” said Brian Connely, vice president and general manager, KME. “I encourage our employees and community to join us in supporting this worthy cause by utilizing our drop-off location at KME Fire Apparatus.”

The collection location at KME is inside the KME Store or corporate office, located at One Industrial Complex, Nesquehoning.

To request toys in the Tamaqua area, register with the Salvation Army in Tamaqua.

Call for details at 570-668-0140.

In Carbon County, registrations will be accepted at the Salem Bible Fellowship Church in Lehighton, on Nov. 16, 22 and 23, and Dec. 7 and 8.
