Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, will hold several events in October:

• Preschool Reading Program is held every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5. All participants will enjoy a story, craft, and light snack.

• Oct. 16: Boscov’s “Friends Helping Friends” Night. The Library is selling Boscov’s ‘Friends Helping Friends’ shopping passes for 25% off your purchase at all Boscov’s locations on Oct. 16 from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Panther Valley Public Library. To purchase passes, stop by the library during normal business hours or call 570-645-3780.

• Oct. 19: Book, Bake and Soup Sale, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Stock up on some great reads for the fall and winter at the library’s used book sale and pick up some delicious soup and baked goods to go! All genres of books will be available for sale; prices vary.
