Frycklund of Jim Thorpe receives leadership award

Cobe Frycklund, a junior at Jim Thorpe high school, received the Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership award at a ceremony at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on April 6.

Each year the West Point Society of the Lehigh Valley recognizes our nation’s outstanding high school juniors who have demonstrated exceptional performance in academics, athletics, community service, leadership and moral character and who promote the values of national service as exemplified by Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Frycklund is also a member of National Honor Society, Rotary Youth Leadership Award, a member of the schoolwide positive behavior team, and member of the varsity football team.

He is the son of attorney Robert Frycklund and Shannon Frycklund, grandson of Wayne and Sharon Wentz, and great-grandson of Dolores J. Solt of Lehighton.
