Officials find possible remains from fatal fire

Possible remains were recovered from the debris leftover from a house fire in Lehigh Township where a man and his 10-year-old son were killed earlier this year.

Township Police Chief Scott Fogel said all that was confirmed is that there were ‘possible remains’ recovered from the debris that we are going through and the (Northampton County) coroner’s office will be examining further.

“We cannot confirm the type of remains at this time,” Fogel said. “The recovery team is searching the remaining debris today.”

The fire broke out at 12:47 a.m. Jan. 21 at 1132 Blue Mountain Drive in Danielsville, and claimed the lives of Bruce A. “Buddy” Miller Jr., 36, and his 10-year-old son, Bruce Alan Miller.

The police department has continued to investigate the fire in conjunction with the state police fire marshal and Lehigh Township Fire Marshal.

Fogel said police are seeking any information that people passing by during the early stages of the fire may have, and that anyone with information is asked to call 610-760-8800 or email ltpd1@lehightownship.com.
