Strength training program for adults

Penn State Extension will be offering the StrongWomen/Growing Stronger Challenge, a six-week exercise program for middle-aged and older adults to be held at the Eldred Community Center in Kunkletown.

The StrongWomen/Growing Stronger program is a safe, effective strength-training and nutrition program for people who have been active or sedentary for the past few years and are interested in improving their health.

Classes meet twice a week and include a nutrition lesson and strength training exercises to improve strength, balance and flexibility. Classes begin March 25 and will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. for six weeks.

An information session will take place at 6 o’clock this evening. There will be a short presentation, forms to fill out, and a chance to ask questions.

If you cannot make the information session, you must show up 30-60 minutes before class on the first day to fill out the necessary paperwork. You may register online at: https://bit.ly/2IBP37s.
