State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a report of a missing gun.

Police said a 40-year-old Lower Towamensing resident told them he noticed a Ruger SR22, Model 03607, a .22-caliber handgun, was missing from his home. The gun was determined to be taken between 3 p.m. Jan. 9 and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Its number is 365-48298.

The gun is valued at $350.

Police said it has been entered as stolen into the National Crime Information Network.
