County releases breakdown of registrations by parties

The final numbers are “in” with regard to people who are eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election in Carbon County.

The Republican Party holds the registration advantage over the Democratic Party, having 594 more registered voters than their counterparts.

The official numbers are 18,605 Republicans and 18,011 Democrats. In all, there are 43,174 registered voters in the county.

Meanwhile, another 3,811 people have “no affiliation” listed on their registration application, while there are 1,042 Independents, 813 nonpartisans and 250 people who are registered as Libertarians.

The other breakdown of voters by their registrations is as follows:

No Party, 194; Other, 187; None, 105; Green, 62; Conservative, 12; Constitutional, 11; Independence, 9; Independent, 7; Liberal, 6; Constitution, Halloween, Independent Democrat and Reform, 4 each; Birthday and Consumers, 3 each; Independent Republican, Neutral, Not Sure, Open, Patriot, Right to Life and Socialist, 2 each; and Adarian, American, Any, Bi-Partisan, Bull Moose, Foedero Civis Witch, Green Party, Trump, Unaffiliated, Undecided, United We Stand, Unknown, Who I Think Is Best, 1 each.

Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in each of the 51 election precincts in the county.
