Pace-Makers

The Pace-Makers Cruise Night will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at 660 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. (George’s Bus Garage).

Al-Anon groups

Al-Anon Family Groups meet at different locations in the Palmerton Area.

Alateen Support Group for teens of family struggling with alcohol meets at Faith Alive United Methodist Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Adult Al-Anon and AA meetings take place at the same time. Call 570-730-8601 for more information.

Courage to Change Al-Anon Family Group meets at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave, Palmerton from 7-8 p.m. on Thursdays.

Art & photo exhibit

The Palmerton Concourse Club will host its annual Art & Photography Exhibit from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 8 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Sacred Heart Church Gymnasium, Third Street and Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton. There will be a special Palmerton “Winter” category and a bargain corner and raffle.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Co., 359 Main St., Parryville. Platter choices are pancakes, French toast, SOS, eggs, omelets or the popular Firehouse Mess. Choices of meats are bacon, ham, sausage or scrapple. Platters include home fries, juice and coffee. Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will hold worship services with seated Holy Communion at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Please see Wendy Hoppel to sign up to help at the Palmerton Community Festival. The schedule for preparing their filling is 6 p.m. Sept. 4 and from 9 a.m. to finish Sept. 5. This takes place at the Polk Township Fire Co., Route 209. Come join the group. All help is appreciated.
