Porter & Sayles to perform at Pocono Raceway

Stroudsburg natives Christian Porter and Regina Sayles, known together as acclaimed musical duo Porter & Sayles, will perform a pre-race concert before the start of the Gander Outdoors 400 at Pocono Raceway on July 29.

They will also perform the nationally televised national anthem before the green flag waves to start the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at “The Tricky Triangle” that day.

Porter & Sayles have collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Ryan Hadlock at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, Washington to record their latest single “Buckled Up in Drive.”

The song is inspired by NASCAR racing and the “inner race car driver” that lives in all of us. What better place to feature a high- energy NASCAR anthem from Porter & Sayles, than at “The Tricky Triangle,” where motor sports events happen each summer.

“We are thrilled to have Porter & Sayles booked for our upcoming pre-race event entertainment,” said Ben May, Pocono Raceway president.

“Christian (Porter) and Regina (Sayles) are extremely talented musicians from the Pocono Mountains. The race fans will love hearing their music, especially their new single ‘Buckled Up in Drive.’ We sincerely thank ESSA Bank for their efforts in bringing these amazing artists to the track this summer.”

The collaboration of singer/songwriters Porter and Sayles allure their audience with a crossover between country, folk-rock and a tasty side of Southern crooning.

Porter jump-started his career after appearing on Season 4 of NBC’s “The Voice” and Sayles attributes her success to at least 100 live shows a year and a very loyal and adoring fan base.

Their self-titled debut album was released in July 2016 and is filled with substance, style and a spirit that captures their songwriting prowess.

Since the release of this album, Porter & Sayles have opened for The Steve Miller Band, Frankie Ballard, Dan + Shay, Brooke Eden, and performed their original work in venues all over the U.S., including Asbury Park, New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Milwaukee, Boston, Nashville, Austin and Cleveland.

Other local performances by the duo include:

• July 21, Blueberry Festival, Bethlehem

• Aug. 19, West End Fair, Main Stage headliners, Gilbert
