Winter weather advisory through 10 p.m.

Moderate to heavy snow at times late this afternoon in Carbon and Monroe counties of northeast Pennsylvania will result in as much as 6 inches of snowfall. Travel will be hazardous, especially with poor visibility and occasional 1 inch per hour snowfall rates.

Temperatures are creeping up towards the freezing mark, and should mix with and change to sleet and freezing rain by this evening.

Temperatures will sharply fall into the teens after 4 am Monday, and any remaining moisture on area roads will solidly freeze, resulting in icy spots for the Monday morning commute.
