Brodheadsville man hurt in Ross crash

Ezequiel Ortiz, 37, of Brodheadsville, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 9:22 p.m. Nov. 7 on the Wilkes-Barre Highway in Ross Township.

State police at the Lehighton said he was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty southbound on the road (Old Route 115) when a deer ran in front of his vehicle, causing him to swerve to the left and lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle went into the left lane of travel and on to the left side of the roadway, where it struck a guide rail.

The vehicle received disabling damages.
