Schuylkill County court - probation

Schuylkill County judges placed nine people charged by local police on probation. All were ordered to pay court costs and fees.

Jonathan T. Ford, 30, of Barnesville: Charged by Mahanoy Township police with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct-unreasonable noise, and disorderly conduct-obscene language/gestures on Sept. 28, 2016. He pleaded guilty to the threats charge. Judge Charles M. Miller sentenced him to 12 months of probation.Joseph Cierlitsky, 26, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with resisting arrest, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct-engage in fighting, public drunkenness and similar misconduct on Jan. 21. He pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. Miller sentenced him to two years of probation.Joyce Card,38, of Lansford: Charged by Tamaqua police with an accident involving damage, driving while her license was suspended or revoked, failing to stop and give information or render aid, careless driving, and disregarding the traffic lane on July 22, 2015. She pleaded guilty to the accident charge and driving under suspension. Miller sentenced her to 12 months probation and a $200 fine.Shane Evans, 30, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with possession of drug paraphernalia on Aug. 20, 2016. Miller sentenced him to 12 months of probation.David J. Brode Jr., 23, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Oct. 26, 2016. Miller sentenced him to 12 months of probation.Richard L. Bealer, 35, of New Ringgold: Charged by Pottsville police with two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on Nov. 13, 2016. President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced him to 24 months of probation.Cale Staruch, 22, of Lansford: Charged by Coaldale police with possession of marijuana on Nov. 12, 2016. Miller sentenced him to 30 days on probation.Daniel J. Sabol, 36, of Lansford: Charged by Coaldale police with intent to possess a controlled substance, adulterating or misbranding a controlled substance, driving while his license was suspended or revoked, and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection sticker on Aug. 27, 2016. Miller sentenced him to two years of probation.Star Murphy, 25, of Lehighton: Charged by Tamaqua police with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking on June 14, 2016. Miller sentenced her to 12 months of probation and to pay $300 restitution.
