New Tripoli Bank’s Board of Directors announce the winners of the Community Spirit Award Essay Contest.

Graduating seniors from Northwestern Lehigh, Parkland and Emmaus High Schools were invited to submit essays exploring the theme of community and the role that community plays in their lives, reflecting on personal experiences and perspectives.

The winners from each school are Sophia Czonstka from Northwestern Lehigh; Erica Lenner from Parkland; and Matthew Grim from Emmaus.

Each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the New Tripoli Bank Board of Directors.

Regarding the essay contest and scholarships, David R. Hunsicker, chairman of the board, explains: “As the board of directors for a community bank, we are focused on our organization’s impact on the wider community. This essay contest was intended to support students’ educational journeys while encouraging them to think about how their community has impacted their development.”

New Tripoli Bank is an independent community bank that has been serving individuals, families and small businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley since 1910.

The bank operates three branch locations in New Tripoli, Orefield and East Penn, and offers a full suite of services including checking accounts, personal and business loans, and digital banking tools.
