St. Paul's clothing giveaway underway

Every year, Shirley Leinthall and her friends and fellow congregants work tirelessly to put together the annual clothing drive at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Old Stage Road in Albrightsville. This year is no exception.

The giveaway begins todayand runs through Saturday."Everybody is welcome to come and take whatever they need," Leinthall said. "We have infant sizes and up to all the adult sizes as well."Leinthall says that last year the drive benefited more than 100 families.The basement of the church is packed with tables, each sorted into sizes and types of clothing. There is a selection of winter weather coats and some of the items still have the original tags on them.Labels such as Jones New York and Talbots are scattered among the more common JCPenney and Sears. But there is something for everyone.The church will be open for pickup from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, Thursday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.St. Paul's is located at 1302 North Old Stage Road in Albrightsville.
