The borough's zoning hearing board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday to consider the application of Joseph Bennett, c/o Reed Sign Company, 575 S. Ninth St.The applicant will request a special exception use for the proposed animated sign at that address.Flashing or animated signs are considered a special use by the borough zoning ordinance, requiring a special use exception.The property is located in the I-Industry Zoning District.The board will also review the application of MD Developers, c/o Dennis Blocker, North Seventh Street lots 604 and 605.The applicant seeks a variance from Schedule II of Article 4, total of both side yards, for two new single family residential dwellings.The properties are located in the R-2 Residential Medium Intensity District.
