A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

LH Group LLC, trading as Shell Service Station, located at 7605 Interchange Road, in Towamensing Township, was cited for an incident on April 5 when it sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor.This charge will be brought before an administration law judge who has the authority to imposed penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge could impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
