CARBON COUNTY COURT - DRUGS

Several defendants in pending drug-related cases entered pleas before Judge Joseph J. Matika in Carbon County court on Tuesday.Michael David Creveling, 20, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on Feb. 28, 2016, at Beltzville State Park by park rangers. He was previously placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked for violating conditions.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service. The term runs concurrent with a probation period he is serving in Lehigh County.Travis James Oswald,23, of Kunkletown, pleaded to one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.He was arrested on Jan. 17, 2015, also at Beltzville State Park by park rangers. He also was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked for violating conditions.On the paraphernalia charge Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service. On the small amount count he was fined $100.Jude Michael Petrycia,41, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on Dec. 27, 2016, at First Street and Alley E by Palmerton police.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.Joseph Clemens Visnosky IV, 19, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on June 29, 2016, in the 600 block of Alley F by Palmerton police.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 25 hours of community service.Kody Tyler Yandrisovitz,21, of Bethlehem, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on July 4, 2015, by Palmerton police in the 600 block of Alley E. He was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked for violating conditions.Matika placed him on probation for six months and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 25 hours of community service.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
