Ten first-time offenders were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program last week by Judge Steven R. Serfass.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year.Danielle Nicole Hill, 25, of Lehighton, was placed on a charge of theft.She was arrested by Lehighton police for an incident involving the theft of a gold wedding band from her grandmother on Nov. 18, 2014.She was assessed $450 for the cost of the program and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, render 50 hours of community service and make restitution of $300 to the victim.Dylan James Howe,19, of Saylorsburg, was placed on a driving under the influence charge. He was arrested on May 17, 2016, by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 90 days.Gregory Charles Maresca, 26, of Kunkletown, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Oct. 10, 2015, along Iron Street by Lehighton police. A test revealed a 0.26 BAC.He was assessed $550 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Edwin N. Rodriguez, 51, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Sept. 24, 2016, along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Marissa Sue Schultz,27, of Jim Thorpe, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Aug. 6, 2016, along Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard by Lehighton police. A test revealed a 0.17 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Jorge Angel Vega-Martinez, 22, of Nesquehoning, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on April 14, 2016, along Mauch Chunk Street in Palmerton by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Alicia Laura Bonetsky, 30, of Brodheadsville, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on April 9, 2016, along Route 209 in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed a 0.09 BAC.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Phyllis Ann Christman,41, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on June 10, 2016, by state police at Lehighton in the area of routes 248 and 209 at the Thomas J. McCall Memorial Bridge. A test revealed a 0.22 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.David Thomas Greene,38, of Coplay, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on June 26, 2016, along Route 248 by Palmerton police. A test revealed a 0.08 BAC.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Ryan James Marsh,21, of Stroudsburg, was placed on a charge of operating a watercraft while under the influence. He was arrested on Aug. 13, 2016, at Beltzville State Park in Towamensing Township by park rangers. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service, his boating license was suspended for six months, he must attend a safe boating course and get a drug and alcohol evaluation.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee and follow all recommendations of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
