Officials at Blue Mountain School District on Thursday contacted parents and searched the high school after receiving a bomb threat, according to the school district's website.
"This afternoon a message was found in a boys' restroom at the high school. The message states 'there is a bomb tomorrow.' Our entire facility will have a thorough sweep completed this evening and will be secured. Students should be prepared to be checked upon entry into the building. We plan to take all steps necessary to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Thank you," according to the message at bmsd.org.Plus the district sent the message to parents with a school-outreach phone call, Mary Jo Moss, a member of the school board, said Thursday night."A complete and thorough sweep of our facility will be done to make sure there's nothing in there. And there will be extra screenings of students as they come in Friday morning," Moss said.
