Snow-covered road blamed for crash

A snow-covered road was blamed for a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on Tuesday.

State police at Frackville said Holden B. Meyers, 16, of Girardville, was driving a 2008 Ford Ranger pickup eastbound on Route 54 in Butler Township at 12:50 p.m. and negotiating a right curve when he lost control on the snow-covered road.The truck slid out of control and onto the north berm, where it struck an embankment.The truck rolled over and continued traveling northeast, coming to rest on its passenger side, facing west on the berm.Meyers was taken by Ashland ambulance to the Shamokin Hospital.
