Man faces drug-related charges

A Summit Hill man faces drug-related charges after police found drugs in his mouth and pockets.

On Aug. 8, Nesquehoning officer Richard Neikam was called to the area of 100 W. Diaz Ave. for a suspicious man, later identified as Jeffrey James Tee, 27, of North Market Street.Upon arrival, Neikam spoke with a man who said another man approached him and was asking if he had seen anyone walking with a television.Neikam then noticed a green Jeep parked on that block and the man identified it as the vehicle the suspicious person got out of.The vehiclewas registered to William Joseph Hydro of Columbus and Avenue in Nesquehoning. Two gas cans were also tucked under the Jeep.In thearea of West Garibaldi Avenue, Neikam found the man who matched the witness's description leaning into a vehicle to speak with another person.Police made contact with the man, later identified as Tee, 27, who told Neikam he had drug paraphernalia in his pocket.A search revealed that Tee had four white wax packets with a "panda" stamp, two white packets and a blue wax packet, as well as a spoon in his possession.An additional search uncovered a wrapper with crushed Xanax that Tee was attempting to swallow.Tee was arrested and transported to the police station, where he began to lose consciousness. Tee was taken to St. Luke's Miners Campus in Coaldale.A preliminary hearing is scheduled before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek at 3 p.m. Nov. 9.
