Whitewater Rafting Adventures in Nesquehoning is sponsoring its annual rafting trip down the Lehigh River at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Rafters will navigate the "float" section of the river.

Proceeds from the event benefit Carbon County Environmental Education Center.The cost is $25 for CCEEC members and $30 for nonmembers. Included in the price are the raft, paddle and life vest rental.Once everyone has completed the trip, there will be a complimentary cookout at the rafting center. Rafters are asked to bring a drink and snack for a short picnic during the trip along the riverbank.Prepaid registration is required. The deadline to register is Friday.
