Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer of Tamaqua has successfully completed a continuing education program and has been recertified as a member of Pennsylvania's Unified Judicial System.

The weeklong course was held in Harrisburg, conducted by the Minor Judiciary Education Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.It is designed to ensure that district judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques that are needed to fairly adjudicate cases and supervise a district court office.
