The county coroner has been called to the Lehigh Gorge State Park for a deceased person on the trail.

According to scanner reports, a kayaker found a person unresponsive on the trail just before 6 p.m. Monday.

Jim Thorpe Police were called to the scene, which was about a quarter mile north of the Glen Onoko parking area.

At 6:30 p.m., dispatchers said they were calling for the county coroner to come to the scene.
