Schuylkill County court - DUI

Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin has accepted four people charged by local police with driving under the influence into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. The program, for first-time offenders, does not involve admissions of guilt.

If the people successfully complete the program, their records may be expunged.They also were ordered to pay costs and fees.Lynmarie Bray, 52, of McAdoo: Charged by McAdoo police with DUI, driving without a license, and careless driving on Feb. 21, 2015.Baldwin placed her in ARD for 12 months, suspended her license for 60 days, and ordered her to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.Richard D. Thomas, 44, of Wilkes-Barre: Charged by Rush Township police with DUI, speeding, improper turning and careless driving on March 3, 2015.Baldwin placed him in ARD for 12 months, suspended his license for 60 days, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.Jared W. Edmonds,27, of Tamaqua: Charged by Rush Township police with DUI/controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and disregarding traffic lanes on Dec. 19, 2014.Baldwin placed him in ARD for 12 months, suspended his license for 60 days, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.Anthony W. Adams,19, of Tresckow: Charged by McAdoo police with DUI and operating a vehicle with unsafe equipment on Jan. 30, 2015.Baldwin placed him in ARD for 12 months, suspended his license for 90 days, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.
