An elderly Jim Thorpe man may have suffered a medical problem before his car striking the side of a building at the Mauch Chunk Plaza in the 1200 block of North Street Thursday. Borough police said John Marschione, 83, told them he may had suffered a medical episode prior his 2008 Mercury sedan hitting the wall at the building about 8:45 a.m. Marchione was taken to the Lehighton hospital where he was treated and released. Police said damages were moderate to the building and vehicle. Jim Thorpe Fire Department volunteers and medical units responded to the scene to assist police.
