Sister Kimberly Miller, IHM, who previously taught at Marian Catholic High School, has been charged with driving under the influence, according to reports from Philadelphia news agencies, and placed on administrative leave by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, where she is now assigned.

According to those reports, Miller was driving a Ford F150 pickup early Saturday morning, when she backed the truck into a Meineke Auto Shop in Turnersville, New Jersey. The front door was damaged and the glass shattered.After calls from other drivers about an erratic driver, police stopped Miller.Another driver captured video of the sister outside the vehicle, as the officer put her through a field sobriety test, after which police charged her with driving under the influence.Marian officials declined to comment regarding when Miller taught at the school.Madison Hall, a 2014 graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls where Miller was teaching theology, was upset to see the news of Sister Kim's arrest popping up on Twitter. She says Miller is a great teacher who does a lot for the school."I think a lot of people now are seeing that, who don't know her, are automatically seeing the negative," says Hall. "I think you need to know her more as a person. I don't think it's OK what she did, but I think it's a big deal because she's a nun and people question why she's doing that. A lot of students like her. She's one of those well-known teachers; always there for people."I'm hoping she can come back and teach. It would be more of a loss to the school, if anything."Hall is a sophomore at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she is studying journalism.
