Robert Benek of Lansford has announced his bid for a seat on the Lansford Borough Council in the upcoming election, via a write-in candidate vote.

Benek said if he is elected, he will resolve the issue regarding the compensation and benefits that the board members of the Lansford and Coaldale Joint Water Authority receive.
