Schuylkill County Judge D. Michael Stine has admitted four people charged by local police into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. Under the program, a person does not admit guilt, and may have his or her record expunged upon its successful completion.
Aurelia Wilder, 25, of Nesquehoning: Charged by Rush Township police with driving under the influence, and driving while her license was suspended on Feb. 4.Wilder was admitted to ARD for 12 months. Stine also charged her $500 toward the cost of the program. Wilder's license was suspended for 60 days, and she was ordered to pay court costs and fees.She was ordered to enroll in outpatient substance abuse counseling, successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, comply with random urine screens, and perform 10 hours of community service.Robert Long, 38, of Ringtown: Charged by Rush township police with driving under the influence on Aug. 21, 2014. Stine admitted him to ARD for 12 months. Stine also charged him $500 toward the cost of the program. Long's license was suspended for 60 days, he must successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and he was ordered to pay court costs and fees.He was ordered to enroll in outpatient substance abuse counseling, comply with random urine screens, and perform 10 hours of community service.Benjamin Horvath, 21, of Brockton: charged by Tamaqua police with driving under the influence, driving while his license was suspended, and driving without a license on Nov. 29, 2014. The charge of driving without a license was dropped, and Stine admitted him to ARD for 12 months. Stine also charged him $500 toward the cost of the program. Long's license was suspended for 30 days, he must successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and he was ordered to pay court costs and fees.He was ordered to enroll in outpatient substance abuse counseling, comply with random urine screens, and perform 10 hours of community service.Stine also admitted Zachary Klinger, 24, of Pottsville, to the ARD program: Charged by Tamaqua police with possession of drug paraphernalia, violating a law requiring drivers to be licensed, and speeding on Feb. 28, 2014.Stine admitted him to ARD for 12 months. Stine also charged him $350 toward the cost of the program, ordered him to pay court costs and fees, and perform 10 hours of community service.Stine fined him $200 for violating a law requiring drivers to be licensed and dropped the speeding charge.
