Election of officers was held at the annual dinner meeting of the Panther Valley-Carbon County Unit, American Cancer Society.John J. DeMatte, Lehighton chiropractor, was elected president with Dr. Mary Malishaucki, Tamaqua, vice president; Mrs. Edward T. Usowski, Tamaqua R.2, secretary; and John Marshall, Lansford, treasurer.Renamed to the board of directors were Dr. John Evans, Nesquehoning; Mrs. Raymond Farber, Bowmanstown; Mrs. Betty Heffelfinger and Willard Wilhelm, Palmerton; Thomas McCall, Summit Hill; and Willis Parnell, Tamaqua R.2.New directors elected included Mildred Jaso, Lansford; Thomas Wehr, Summit Hill; Mrs. John Gildea, Tamaqua; John Joyce, Jim Thorpe; and Mrs. Rhea Scheller, Tamaqua R.2.
