Residents jammed the Summit Hill Borough chambers in protest of a report that a communications tower would be located in an area zoned residential in the back of West Fell Street.
Although bore testing was approved by the owners of the lane for the proposed tower, zoning officer Phil Shelton had turned down the initial application for a variance to the zoning permit.Council President James Crampsie told the residents the next step in the process was for the owner to seek an appeal of the variance denial before the Summit Hill Zoning Hearing Board.
