The AAA Scholarship Selection Committee recently announced the 2015 AAA East Penn Safety Patrol Scholarship recipients, including Jim Thorpe Area High School student Lindsay Capper.

Capper was awarded a $4,000 scholarship to be given in $1,000 annual stipends for study at an accredited four-year college or university. Capper, daughter of Jason and Margaret Cooper, was a member of the School Safety Patrol at Lawrence B. Morris School, Jim Thorpe. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science.High school seniors who were members of their School Safety Patrol in grade school are eligible to apply for the AAA East Penn Safety Patrol Scholarship. Applications can be obtained in January of each school year through the high school guidance office.
