Blue Mountain Health System will co-sponsor a New to Medicare Workshop with the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Blue Mountain Health System/Bowmanstown Medical Plaza at 513 Bank St. in Bowmanstown.

The four parts of Medicare include hospital care, physician and lab work and prescription drug coverage.A representative from the Area Agency on Aging will provide a general introduction to Medicare, which includes Medicare Parts A-D, Medicare supplemental insurance (Medi-Gap policies), Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D).The New to Medicare program is an educational program to help people entering Medicare for the first time, and their caregivers, to better understand this comprehensive health care program.Register for a program at 610-377-7070.
