Blue Mountain Health System will offer two food and nutrition health fairs in recognition of National Nutrition Month.

The fair at the Palmerton campus will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 25, in the cafeteria at 135 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton.The Gnaden Huetten fair will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 31, in the hospital's ground floor lobby, 211 N. 12th St. in Lehighton.The 2015 theme is "Bite Into a Healthy Lifestyle."Each March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics encourages Americans to return to the basics of healthful eating through National Nutrition Month.This year's theme encourages consumers to adopt a healthy lifestyle that is focused on consuming fewer calories, making informed food choices and getting daily exercise in order to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic disease and promote overall health.Registered dietitians play a critical role in helping people eat right. Join hospital dietitians who will be offering product tastings and samples, nutrition literature and door prizes.Dietitians will also be happy to answer all of your nutrition-related questions.No registration is required.
