Lehigh Valley Mall will host its annual Simon Kidgits Book Blast from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. This year, the mall is teaming up with Better World Books to provide each child that attends with their very own preloved book and bookmark. The event will feature other family-friendly activities including:

• Read-aloud session by Whitehall Township's Mayor Ed Hozza and Whitehall Township Public Library's Lorraine Santiliz, featuring books from the Little Critterseries.• A visit from Little Critter and Polka Dot and sing-along.• A Critter Craft Corner complete with coloring, activity sheets and a critter paper plate craft.Attendees are invited to bring books to donate to the Whitehall Public Library. Kidgits members who show their cards will receive an additional gift while supplies last.The event will take place at the elevator court at the mall, located at 250 Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall.The Simon Kidgits Club is a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3-8.
