Hundreds of Towamensing Township residents were without power as of 3 p.m. on Sunday, according to PPL Electric Utilities.

Crews are working on restoring power to 377 customers in that area.Reports from that municipality at the time had the temperature around 9 degrees, but the wind chill makes it feel 11 degrees below zero.That trend is expected to continue throughout the night and early Monday morning.The only other Carbon County municipality affected by power outages Sunday is Franklin Township, where one customer is affected.Monroe County has over 1,000 customers waiting for power including 818 in Chestnuthill Township.No outages were reported in Schuylkill County.PPL has been in storm emergency mode since 6:45 a.m.
