Lehighton Town Council is considering an amendment to its ordinance which provides for the inspection of milk, the cost of which must be borne by the milk dealers.

The inspector will be under the supervision of the Lehighton Board of Health and will be elected to that body. His duties will require hands-on inspections of dairies, bottling plants, pasteurizing and clarifying plants as well as farms and other places where milk is produced.Lansford Council attempted to pass a similar ordinance, but opposition developed.
