Accused of taking tools from Kovatch

Nesquehoning police have levied theft and related charges against a Coaldale man.

Louis V. Clouser, 43, of 158 First St,., also faces charges of receiving stolen goods and conspiracy in the theft of $3,011 worth of tools from the Kovatch Mobile Equipment, Nesquehoning.He was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, Lansford, and released on $4,000 unsecured bail.According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Police Chief Sean Smith, Clouser took the tools throughout 2014 and hid them in his toolbox at Plant #6. The tools were not those he used at his job, and included backup cameras and backup alarms for emergency vehicles.Clouser allows police to search his home, where they found tools and equipment including LED emergency lights, circuit breakers, tubing, hole saws, painters tape,
