Easter glow tea

St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold a women's tea at 11 a.m. Saturday. The guest speaker will be Nancy Rinker, former co-owner of Rinker's Handcrafts.Rinker will be speaking on her transition from a business owner to church secretary to now a missionary. She will be heading to Haiti in October to join a women's conference there. Her goal is to take with her 1,500 lightweight colorful scarves, used as head wraps, and she will distribute them to the village women.The tea is open to anyone in the community. A light lunch with tea and other refreshments will be served. If you wish to attend, please call the church office, 570-325-4255 and leave your name and how many will be attending, so that they have a count for the lunch.
