A vehicle stop in Schuylkill County had led to a driving under the influence charge pending against a county driver.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said James Stank, 46, of Port Carbon, was stopped about 6:53 p.m. on Tuesday at Market Street and Mill Creek Avenue in East Norwegian Township, for an expired registration.Stank showed signs of impairment and was driving with a suspended license. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results.
