The Borough of Tamaqua's Street Department will continue removing snow from selected streets this Saturday, as well as on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Saturday, Feb. 22, streets scheduled for snow removal will include: Gay Street, Lafayette to end; Hazel Street, Greenwood to Elizabeth; Schuylkill Avenue, Mauch Chunk to SR309.Streets scheduled for Monday, Feb. 24, are: Greenwood Street, Broad to end; Oak Street, Orwigsburg to Van Gelder; Coal Street, Spruce to Van Gelder.Snow removal will continue on Tuesday on Lafayette Street, Washington to Catawissa; Van Gelder Street, Coal to Nescopec; and Nescopec, Van Gelder to Mahanoy.Streets will be posted the day before snow removal operations are to begin. Workers may start anytime after 12:01 a.m., so motorists should be aware any parked vehicles will be subject to ticketing and towing.Schedules depend on work and weather conditions and are subject to change.
