Turnpike commission seeks 4,000 for survey

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is recruiting 4,000 customers to serve as volunteers for the Turnpike Traveler Advisory Panel, a new and innovative way to enable turnpike users to provide direct feedback on any number of issues from road quality to overall satisfaction and future initiatives that impact motorists.

The panel research community will be made up of commercial and passenger customers reflecting the commission's customer base across the 550-plus mile system. Participants will contribute to research studies throughout and earn rewards for their time and effort. To learn more visit

"We need to make sure our customers know that they have a voice here as we move ahead."Compton noted that the PTC is in the midst of the largest capital rebuilding plan in its history and continues adding capacity, including the I-95 Interchange Project, which will directly connect the turnpike and Interstate 95 and complete the Maine-to-Florida artery."We have an obligation to listen to our customers and do everything we can to provide accurate, timely information on some of these major changes that will affect the way they travel," Compton said."Whether it is the quality of the road service or concerns about safety or toll rates, we need to continue to keep the lines of communication open and provide customers with new ways to tell us what they think."Participants will include a cross-section of turnpike customers.
