SALISBURY TOWNSHIP Northwestern Lehigh's Sarah Segan found out on Tuesday that she had been recognized as a First-Team Colonial League All-Star.

Hours later, Seegan backed up that selection in a big way.Seegan scored four goals and added two assists for the No. 1 seeded Tigers, who defeated No. 4 seed Bangor, 8-2, during Tuesday night's Colonial League girls soccer semifinals matchup at Salisbury High School."I'm trying to make runs," Segan said. "My teammates are making great balls. We're really playing as a team, and that's all we can ask for."Following a Tiger handball in the penalty box early in the second half, Bangor's Danielle King connected on the penalty kick to close the Tigers' lead to 3-2.That's as close as the Slaters would get after halftime.The Tigers would go on to score five consecutive goals, including four over the course of the next 15:08. Megan Landrigan tallied a goal that made it 4-2, and Segan then scored two goals and added an assist on a McKenzi Divers goal that put the Tigers in complete control at 7-2."They're willingness to keep up the intensity, and the speed of their play tonight was impressive to me," head coach Kelly Bleam said. "I thought that entire soccer game was high-paced intense soccer."It took roughly nine minutes for Segan and the Tigers to get on the scoreboard. Off a pass from Angela Motolese, Segan fired a shot into the right corner that made it 1-0.The Slaters connected on a free kick midway through the first to tie it up, but goals by Sabrina Mertz-also a First-Team Colonial League All-Star-and Segan, made it 3-1 at halftime."You really want to set a good pace," Segan said. "That fact that we were able to go out from the start and play hard is great."Trista Cunningham and Motolese, who also scored a goal, were also named First-Team Colonial League All-Stars, and Grace Baker was an Honorable Mention selection.The Tigers will meet No. 3 seed Saucon Valley in the championship game on Thursday. It was during last year's Colonial League title game that the Tigers fell to the Panthers. Redemption is certainly on the mind for the Tigers."We're really looking forward to playing Saucon on Thursday," Segan said. "We're looking for redemption, and we really want to beat them.""Saucon is a very talented team," Bleam said. "When we put our Tigers on the field, and [there's] one talented team with another talented team, good soccer happens."Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Salisbury High School.
