Numerous riders and visitors participated in the "Ride With Pride" on Saturday at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club. The ride, which benefits the Wounded Warrior Project, remembered and celebrated the life of SPC Christina Joy Leone, 21, of New Ringgold, who passed away July 11, 2012 in Richmond Va.

In addition to numerous activities at the club, riders traveled to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery where each rider was given the opportunity to lay a flower on Christina's headstone.Leone, a CBRN Specialist serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Stewart, Hinesville, GA, was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, posthumously awarded; the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, posthumously awarded; the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Army Skill Badge Expert Rifle, and was also posthumously promoted to the rank of Specialist.She was the daughter of Wayne A. and Cheryl L. Leone of West Penn Township.The Wounded Warrior Project was created to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, help injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
