The Relay For Life of Tamaqua and Surrounding Communities will be holding their 5th annual "Paint the Town Purple" event, which will again be held on Cancer Survivor's Day this year as it has been in the past. All cancer survivors and their caregivers are cordially invited to join them this Sunday, June 2 at 7 p.m. for a free ice cream social in front of The Restaurant at the Station in Tamaqua (weather permitting). They will be using the color of Relay, purple, along with a brief ceremony, to help promote the upcoming Relay (June 21 and 22 from 2 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Panther Valley football stadium in Lansford).
