May 22, 1984 Tamaqua rides the three-hit pitching of Wendell Paisley to gain a 6-4 win over Bishop Hafey. The victory clinches the Schuylkill League North I championship. Paisley goes the distance, striking out 10 batters. Ed Titus hits a two-run homer and adds an RBI single, while Mike Plasko belts a solo homer and a double. The Blue Raiders, coached by Frank Zlock, also receive a key two-run single from Cary Bates.
